Cornish Country Fair At Stithians Showground

Ok i now have all the details sorted for this show on sunday! :wacko:

It will be the Cornish Country Fair run by the Young Famers. There is a lurcher and Terrier show with racing and hurdles that i will be organising along with alot more happening around the show ground. 8)

All the rosettes and trophies come from the Young Farmers as does the showing schedule.

There is ferret showing and racing there as well run by Woody :D

Hopefully the weather will clear up for them as the day is normally a good event. It is held at:

The Showground, Stithians, Truro, Cornwall, TR3 7BB.

The gates open from 10.30am and entry is:

Adults - £5

OAPS and u16s - £3

u10s - FREE

There will be Hurdles for lurchers and Terriers, booking in from 10.30am to start at 11am.

Showing for Lurcher and Terriers starting 12.30pm

And straight racing for Unders, Overs, Puppies and Terriers after the showing. (I will also do whippets and non-peds if there are enough of you but i cant garentee there will be rosettes unless i can dig some left overs out of my cupboard!! :blink: )

Wahooooooooooooooooo, this was olis first lurcher show last year :) Lovely show, just a shame there isnt enough space for coursing :( . Hopefully be able to bring the ferrets too

Yes it was - i remember. I had Sky in a cage in the back of my car coz she hadnt even had her jabs!! She was a really Baby Bean! (w00t)

I have managed to get some trophies together that are some old ones of mine from old dogs for sunday incase there isnt enough provided by the young farmers :thumbsup: So hopefully all champions will have something :thumbsup:

I will make sure they are cleaned up for you all dont worry.....they are probably a little dusty and probably greyhound and terrier ones.....but hey a trophy is a trophy!! :thumbsup:

Thanks Helen, :thumbsup: but i won't be running her if i think the ground isnt right, or the knock off is too short, ;) I don't want to risk any more injuries with the bends coming up, :thumbsup: the stupid thing is, my dogs never seem to pick up injuries when racing, but do a bloody good job when out on their normal walks. :lol: di

As it is friday, I just wanted to remind everyone about Stithians on Sunday (w00t) and that booking will be from 10.30am and starting at 11am.

So if you want to do the hurdles please be there!!

will he be classed as a non ped ? or will he still be a lurcher. ?

I'll answer that one for you Joe, :thumbsup: yes you can run Buddy in the lurchers, it's only registered whippet/greys that have to run separately ;) (i think). (w00t) don't think my girl is running tomorrow if i go. :thumbsup: di

Hi Joe, would be nice to catch up with you Sunday :thumbsup: but the boys have another Model buggy meeting on then up here :sweating: , will try to make it in time for the racing though 'if they finish early enough' 8)

hes a lurcher whats the shit about whippet/greys all over the uk in shows they run as lurchers fact
 
wont be going to show tomorrow now as buddy is still lame from 2 weeks ago,

thought he was fine but just gave him a 50 yard run to check him out,(first time off lead since lame) still not right so will just have give him more time.

hope every 1 have good 1,
