Gizmo back to the vet this wednesday,,hope he gets the kennel cough this time,,not heard of any dog with the cough here,,,my dogs no longer with loads of other dogs now,,but they will get the cough stuff up the nose every year,,the cost is not much. Any dog can get it,,its air born too,,like to be safe

Ours are all fine so far (touch wood) but when they had it a couple of years ago we gave them ice cream and manuka honey. It seemed to help, they certainly liked it anyway
Read quite a few papers studying Manuka honeys anti-bacterial benefits and while it's benefits didn't superceed agents used in wound management (they were fairly level) I personally would think it would be a good choice to use with dogs suffering from kennel cough because it is harmless, easy for the dog to take and it may well prevent a secondary bacterial infection warranting anti-biotic treatment.

i use it morrisons sell it active 10 £8 a jar.

the 10 rating is the weakest seen active 20 BUT (w00t) nearly£20 a jar. health shops sell it to.

it comes from new zealand bees feeding off the manuka plant

When my Boo had it the last time it was going around all i did was leave her in the house doing what she wanted kept her quiet cos any movment she didnt want to do seemed to set her off so she did as she pleased i took her house collar off so it didnt touch her neck and just gave her honey and milk a few times a day to try and sooth it for her.No sign of it with our dogs so fingers crossed its not a new strain that will work its way through ours.

Hope all who have got it get well soon :luck:
I'm thinking the same Sadie, only Lucy has had it here and she wasn't born when we had cough last time, none of the others have picked it up and they've been to all the same places. The pups are fine too which is making me think perhaps they're getting some protection from Blaze through the milk.
