Hello everyone Im not sure if I am putting this in the right place but it is something experienced whippet racers will know.
My whippet bitch Grace is now 4 1/2 and since about 12 months of age she has had a problem whilst sprinting.Although she does not race she does run hard. She is extremely well muscled and fit.
The problem is that on certain runs she pulls up screaming holding one of her back legs in the air and the muscle is rigid.I find if I massage the leg she will eventually put it on the ground then carry on as though nothing has happened.Does this sound like cramp? It is not always the right rear as sometimes it is the left, but more severe on the right?I always make sure she is fully warmed up before she is allowed to run.If this is cramp can I buy supplements to help this problem? She has been to the vets but they cannot find anything.
I would be gratefull for any advice or suggestions as to what this maybe.
Thanks claire
