Hi, I've heard that whippet racing takes place in Cullompton. Does anyone know how often or when it takes place???

If not, is there any other racing taking place nearby- i'm based in East Devon.

Heya

The Cullompton track is only used once a year for a non-ped Championship meeting in the summer.

Having arranged it with Geoff (Milly), I was planning to do some fun running on it throughout the rest of the year as a fund raiser for Scruples, but time has run away with me somewhat this year and so it will probably be in the New Year now Just a matter of getting my head around arranging it!!

It's a nice track - around 150 yards straight run I think - and good fun for whippets and lurchers alike, maybe even terriers if enough owners want to give it a go!

I still intend to try and get it off the ground and will post on here once I have a clearer idea of when we're going to kick off :thumbsup:
