Hi Guys

Our dalmatian has cut his foot. We have already been to the vets and they bandaged up and gave him antibiotics and some painkillers. £300 thanks very much!

It still looks fairly sore – any recommendations please? I took him out for a small walk with it bandaged up earlier And he was running around so clearly no breaks or anything like that. But he’s hobbling and licking it constantly when it’s not bandaged. When it is bandaged it doesn’t seem to scab. It’s not yelping in pain, but he is limping.

Any advice please?

I'm bumping this as I'm sure there are some members more familiar with foot injuries than me. How long is it since he did it? I'm wondering if it would warrant an Elizabethan collar or similar to prevent the licking.

Ouch, that looks sore... I'd also keep him on short lead walks for a little while too, no running around, it'll give it a better chance to heal.
