I think one of the pups has dandruff, only noticed it this morning, its not a lot, but i noticed a few flakes on her this morning, brushed her and a few more appeared, looks like mild dandruff.

What could be causing this and how do I sort it out? she doesnt seem uncomfortable with it or anything

Thanks!

is it a black dog? not sure but i wouldnt bother if its not botherd then could settle.

Maybe add a little Yumega oil to her diet?

I wash our dog in Head and Shoulder every couple of months. He comes out all soft and dandruff free!

how old is the pup? Dogs have incredibly sensitive skin, so brushing alone can cause it to flake, particularly if a metal implement is used

As with humans dogs get dehydrated skin, winter is particularly drying on skin even if its covered by fluffy fur, out in the cold back indoors to central heating etc, skin being the largest organ in the body requires good diet to keep it healthy.

Most commercial pet foods dont have enough nutrition to enable the body to remain in tip top condition so by adding certain things you can help increase your pets chances of good health.

Cod liver oil , omega 3 and 6, kelp and many more can help. If your shampooing your dogs don't use human shampoos our skins PH levels are different to dogs so what is kind to our skin can be dehydrating or irritating to a dogs, when you shampoo make sure you rinse thoroughly as residue can cause irritation and dandruff like symptoms.
