Hi I lost my boy yesterday that was a deerhound x greyhound he was nearly 14 I miss him so much and so does my other dog
I’m looking for a male of the same / similar breeding
It’s a pet home living the best life on a small holding and a sofa and our bed at night
Can anyone help

There is a place in Exmoor that breeds them but I don't have a contact. I suggest you advertise in Horse & Hound magazine. I wish you well in your search - they are the most wonderful lurchers. So sorry for the loss of your lad.

I'm sorry for your loss too - my dog was a greyhound x deerhound (x Beddie x Irish terrier). Good luck with youur search.

My condolences for your loss.

Sorry to hear of your loss, it's such a devastating time.

There is a place in Camborne, Russet Greyhound Sanctuary. We’ve heard such high praise about it and especially about its managers.

That's good info to share. Some of these places can be - let's say not as knowledgeable as they think they are. So very useful to know a good one.

My friend used to volunteer there but I think they only have greyhounds and mostly exracer...celia cross is another fabulous rescue near guildford

I don’t want to distract this stream. When we were in Truro last May with Mabel we were approached by various family groups (okay, three) asking if we’d got Mabel from Russet in Camborne where they’d got their sight hounds. They were full of praise for Russet who will lodge their adoptees when they’re on holiday and maintain a ‘family’ attitude with the dogs and new parents. Nice to hear from you, Tinytom.
