you know what annoys me about SOME greyhound people?(notice i say some not all)when antis make a remark about a person in racing who has done something bad, they instantly try to gain the upper ground by making personal derogatory remarks(go look long word like derogatory up in a dictionary) of course everyone knows that when someone descends to making these types of personal remarks its cos the person making them has lost the high ground and is scrabbling around in the dirt trying to find some to throw.have a nice day
The only person who on this site has done that is NINA and she is an anti.
Yes i am an anti & so are a lot of other people on this site as well as obviously people who aren't ie the racing supporters.
Things generally get pulled down to a personal level because just as Kris says :
"when antis make a remark about a person in racing who has done something bad, they instantly try to gain the upper ground by making personal derogatory remarks"
Anytime ANYONE quotes statistics or facts then "certain" people instantly get nasty & even resort to sending unsavoury pms :- " .
Yes i have given back as good as i have got in posts on here regarding this subject BUT no i am not proud of it & after reading back through some of them afterwards i am ASHAMED that i let myself stoop to their level.
I more often than not try to ignore these threads now as its very rarely it can be discussed in a civilised fashion without all the nastiness but then i guess its not a civilised sport that massacres thousands of healthy young dogs every year all because they are not fast enough.
Most intelligent people if interested will know a good deal about the racing industry already as surprisingly even the anti idiots have family, friends, employers, emplyees etc that have had some kind of experience so they are not all clueless as some would like to beleive, its down to the individual to make their own mind up.
As has already been said on here by genuine sensible people, no one is questioning that the dogs love to run, its what becomes of them afterwards & of all the other thousands that are bred & just "disappear" & the poor beasts that are shipped to Spain by the lorry load.
Yes there are i assume "some" decent people as there is in any walk of life BUT the whole racing industry needs to re-evaluate the slaughter of so many healthy dogs a year & realise in this day & age its just not acceptable anymore.
