The Derbyshire Lurchers & Longdogs will be holding an event for Lurchers, Terriers, Ferrets and Family Dogs at the Social Club South Wingfield Alfreton Derbyshire DE55 7LX on Sunday 3rd April 2011.

There will be Simulated coursing & Lurcher racing held in the morning entries taken from 9.30, start when 1st coursing card is full, racing to follow.

Showing will be a qualifier for the Earth Dog & Bull X Champs, Pride of the Peaks, Cock of the North, EAJRC Champs & Heart of Wales Champs for lurchers & terriers

Also Qualifier for Lurcherworld racing & showing finals for lurchers

Showing starts approx. 12.30

Special Mothers Day class so bring your mum along for a day out

Refreshments available, trade stands welcome but please no caterers.

A big thankyou to Sonia,Ian and the rest of the team.We had a great day out,and everybody said it was the way shows used to be,with such a great atmosphere.Cracker won the overs, the highlight of the day for us was my Ted winning the reserve in coursing,that little pooch ran his legs off.

I'll second that Amanda, great day out - nice lovely atmosphere. Storm won the coursing and got reserve champ in family dog show and also won his mummy a lovely bouquet of flowers and a box of chocs in the mums only class.

Lovely day with a cracking turn out.

The weather tried it's best to spoil the atmosphere but the odd downpour and rumble of thunder did nothing to dampen the spirits.

All we need to do now is get the hounds to run in a straight lines in the racing and show off in the ring (w00t)

The Derbyshire Lurchers & Longdogs would just like to say a massive thank you to all those who helped us including Lurcherworld, the Coursing Crew and all our friends, you know who you are. We would also like to thank all those who competed, together we all made it a day to remember with a fantastic atmosphere.Also many thanks to our judges for a job well done. Winners details are on our website dll.me.uk hope I've got them right.

Once again many thanks on behalf of us all, hope to see you all at Catton Park on the 9th & 10th April.
