Last Wednesday evening Fred Watling and myself attended a meeting with the CCA, they run the sports grounds at Cullompton, after negotiations with this body they have agreed to lease the track for our use on the understanding that we maintain it also, work started the following day in clearing the track with the grass and weeds standing three feet high, due to the high rainfall a lot of the work is not done but the track has had its first cut and will take a while to get it back into a resemblances of what it was. Up to press about £2000 has been spent on equipment including a new ride on mower which Vern took under his wing for the first cut. It is our understanding that everything will be the same as normal for the Devon racing 10 days and that will be including the refreshment tent and either the cricket club or the football club for the evenings and showers facilities. The club is very thankfull for the generous donations from Dot and Jayne and also for the offers of help for the 2008 events starting on June 14th of that year.

well i for 1 would like to say a big well done to john meades and fred watling for taking the track on and for givin us racers sumthing back a real credit to yer both

all the best
