Hi was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this disease found in sheep carcases? I have just had to rush a dog from the hme to the vets as he has literally lost weight during the night, is having trouble with his left front leg and right back leg, has had really bad diahorrea with lots of blood in it and is generally in a very bad state. He had been taken on a walk with some prospective owners so he may have picked something up then or it could be rat poison :( the vets have just taken him in for an overnight observation its very worrying

im very sorry to hear this hunny :( is he up to date with his boosters? there has been an increase of parvo around

Haven't heard anything about sheep carcass in particular unless your referring to neosporosis?

It's been discussed here previously, there's more info in the FAQ forum.

I don't recall bloody diorrhea as a symptom though?

Whatever's going on he's in the best place at the vets and hopefully they'll get to the bottom of things a.s.a.p.

Any news on the wee dog?
Not as yet, however i will give the home a ring as soon as i can sometime today and hope everything is ok. the man at the home said he had a case of it in one of his own dogs and it was something it picked up after it had been on a walk. Its very sad as this dog had been given the chance of a home but if it has some long term damage then some people aren't willing to take on the dog

Keeping my fingers crossed for the poor thing. I'm sure the prospective owners are feeling awful about it as well.

Hope he comes out of it ok. :luck: :luck: :luck:

Hoping that the vet can find out what the problem is and then start to treat for it.

Sending positive thoughts to the dog for a speedy and full recovery and then a lovely new home afterwards. :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

There is a virus out there called Coronavirus which presents similar to piosoning or Parvo, one or two vets are now vaccinating against it but not all as yet.

Good luck :luck:
