I've also noticed a trend in recent years where the owners of some dogs that get disqualified at club level seem to think that the disqualification only applies to racing at that club and therefore don't bother to get it cleared before racing at another club or even entering an open.  :(   It never used to be like that.

Would it be at all possible for club secretaries to keep each other informed of dogs that get disqualified i e with e-mails or over the internet.

Surely someone could monitor it and the said dog would not run at either club or open until that dogs home club secretary has informed the monitor that the dog has cleared.

That's a great idea  ....... Most of us know what happens at other clubs and know the bad 'uns .......Its just a shame when people go to other clubs and members slate a dog giving it an unfair reputation on hear say not fact .....Some people have VERY short memories :- " .....So yes if it was correctly brought in and regulated properly it would stop some people and dogs being penalised and it would warn the club that could safe guard their dogs :)

Good luck with the email thing - apart from us enlightened few :- " most whippeteers wouldn't know a computer from a compost heap!

That may sound a bit of a generalisation but if it was NOT so, we wouldn't still be sending entries by post and enclosing SAE's. I tried really hard when I was sec. to change this but met with a wall of indifference :b

By the way Strike (sorry but I don't know your call name!) in your signature it looks like the black & white dog is having a pop at the black dog on the inside - is it just training?

In reply to your statement most whippeteers would not need computers just club secretaries.

If a dog gets disqualified at a club meeting or open then that sec gets in touch with the dogs home club sec who in turn notifies a disqualification sec of the incident and when the dog is cleared the disqualification secretary must be notified before that dog can run again.
