Warning to anyone going on holiday in the area of Luik, Seraing, Flémalle, Comblain-au-Pont en Oupeye in Belgium this summer or even travelling through.
At this moment there is an outbreak of canine distemper in the areas mentioned above.
Reports are that 12 foxes and one raccoon have died of the disease and vets are warning dog owners to be wary. They are worried that if the disease spread to domestic dogs they will be unable to stop an outbreak.
At this time no domestic dogs have been infected but obviously this could change with the weather getting warmer and people out in the woods with dogs more.
