Hello my wife and I are looking to adopt a small or medium size dog, we live in Devon, a retired couple looking to give a dog a happy living home
 
Welcome to the forum, and good luck with your search. Have you checked out any of the rescue organisations in your area? Margaret Green are down your way, though they seem to have very few dogs at the moment. Are you willing to travel further to find the right dog if necessary?
 
I have not tried them but will have a look and yes we would be willing to travel a reasonable distance.
