Hi,

my GSD bitch is in season

we do want to mate with her ,

Perry (my other GSd - dog) was soooo excited .... and fustrated lol, hes only young and been trying to hump everything! for the past few days!

she is now on her 10th day so i was going to supervise her mating...... but found out that my mum has let them be in teh garden together today.

now he has either done the deed ........ and now he is interested but not trying to mount her? if hes mated her today will he "go off her" for a few hours????

or

she has really told him off! and hes scared to mount again!

Ive never had this problem b4 (i would call my grandad but i think he gets fed up of me calling ! lol)

I dont know wether to try again tomorrow or maybe take her to a proven stud dog?

do you mean take her to a stud dog this season? only problem there is your not sure if you own dog has "done the deed" so to speak

good luck though

well thats it?

would he go off he abit (stop trying to mount) if he had done it?

who would be the dad? lol - i would have to get bloods done!

im lost as to what to do? stud dog? try in a few days with perry?

if shes on her 10th day i should have a few days to go at!

or do you recon shes told him off? but hes not looking worried with her, they are still play fighting etc now, then he looks a bit randy and they carry on fighting if he has mated her would it cause him to stop trying to mount today/this evening?

ive been trying to keep them apart but still been letting them play whilst im with them and she hasnt been letting him do anything as of yet - unless ive missed it!!! ekkkkkk :(

Because your not sure if your dog has/hasnt mated your bitch then realy you need to stick to using him this season that way your 100% who the father if if any pups are produced.

thats the one mark  any reputable stud owner wouldnt allow their dog anywhere near a bitch who might already have been covered,so the way i see it, is you have these options: as mark said, let your dog keep at her so to speak, or take her to the vets for the injection and try again next season (making sure that the same thing doesnt happen again)
