Well! I've got a postscript to add to my post of 25 November ...

you will remember me saying a certain girl had let her dog foul, outside the side of my house (in the lane) and not cleaned up.

I put up a notice in my kitchen window overlooking that lane and haven't seen any more mess since so maybe, it worked ...

But this morning, I was chucking buckets of water over the pavement outside the front of my house - some dog mess had not been cleaned up and had been tracked everywhere, so I was washing the pavement clean.

Who should approach, but the girl I referred to earlier (that lets her dog mess and doesn't pick up after it), along with her partner and their little boy!! I stopped my water-throwing to wait for them to pass: the bloke took the little lad by the hand and said "watch where you're walking, you don't want to step in that".

This was my chance!! With a big smile, I looked at them and said: "oh I quite agree! people who don't clear up after their dogs, they are the bane of my life"!!!!!

I think the penny might have dropped, with them!!

Thank you Wendy! Let's see if the subtle approach means something to them. :)

 WELL DONE YOU

LETS HOPE THEY GET THE MESSAGE

Years ago a friend of mine had a similar problem with someone a few doors away from her who let their dog poo all over the shared access lane behind the houses. Despite being asked they still didn't clean it up so my friends partner went out himself & picked up every single dollop he could find & dumped it all on their car roof (w00t)

Funnily enough the problem stopped just after that :- "
