Hi all
Just a quick question my 15 month belgian malinois has always had really boney elbows and shoulder blade area. Like the top of the shoulder blade can be prominent in certain positions and you can always feel it. Is that normal? I probably worry to much
She runs, jumps stretches her front and back legs fine. Never shows signs of limping or discomfort. Wasn't sure if it was normal bone structure for that type of dog.
Thanks

So where the red line is when she lays down that bone becomes pointy. Think it's the head of the humorous from what I have seen online. My mums jack Russell is similar so I think it may be normal. You can't really see it sticking out unless you feel it

It's difficult to tell from the photo, but there are conditions in dogs that are characterised by prominent humeri. Chances are she's absolutely fine and this is normal for her, but the best person to check would be your vet.
