Hi, does anyone know where there is any sort of shows for shih tzu or pets in the yorkshire area.

I have just today purchased two little girls (sisters) and would like to show them off to the world as they are georgeous. :D

The one with the blackish muzzle is called Cher and the other is called Celine.

I would like to show my girls at every oppertunity I can as they are wonderful little girls.

if anyone knows of any events I can take them to, all information will be greatfully appreciated. Tracie

Hi have you tried joining the companion dog club through the kennel club there are lots of shows around and they are all for charity plus your dogs dont need to be pedigree to compete also buying dog world newspaper is also a good place to find shows or the kennel club gazettets is a good starting point for showing too. Are your dogs pedigree? if so you will be able to compeate at championship dog shows living in yorkshire you are at the heart of dogs shows most championship shows are held at staffrd and theres even a show at leeds every july they have breed classes but you need to check scheduals. You can obtain scheduals from show sceratrys there nubers and dates of shows can all be found in the gazette or dogs world or our dogs newspaper. where you will be able to compete to qualify for crufts your breed should have a club and will also have club shows. The kennel club also has rules of show terminolgy that you might find helpful.

good luck with your new babies i wish you every luck

[Hi, thanks for all this information, yes my girls are shih tzu and at moment are 9 weeks old, they are sisters but both have different personalities, I brought them home yesterday morning and they were ever so good last night, no probs at all and they went into the crate without fuss, but they had been in and out of it all afternoon, playing and sleeping, they did not cry and woke up with waggy tails and full of joy, such lovely well behaved little ones, we are in Barnsley about 35 mins from leeds so will check out all the papers you have surgested.... again thanks a lot Tracie..(celine & cher) xxxxxxxxx

Theres a little pet dog show this sunday at My Pet Stop in Leeds. I'll find the website and post a link. Its right next to the M62 so it'll be easy for you to get there. I'm going so if you go look out for me with Molly whippet

Oooops, its the same one as the one Fee Fee has posted! Its in Tingley, near Morley if you know where that is. Might see you there :D

Meant to add, its on the 28th (sunday), not the 26th ;)

Not sure if you'll be allowed to show your dogs at 9 weeks old though? I'm not really a dog show person so others will probably know better, but I thought most puppy classes were for dogs of 6-12 months.

Oh yes I just noticed their age, perhaps the one on sunday may be a bit too soon! Its only a pet dog show though so they would be ok to socialise but I'm assuming they won't have finished their vacs yet :( Molly is just going for the social occasion :D I am training her so she can become a PAT dog.
