Hi there,

I wonder if members can help me please.

We have to go abroad for 24 days in June/July.

Do members know of someone who can look after Ben (14 year old alsatian x collie) at their place?

Ben, although healthy, is no longer able to stay in our local kennels.

He is a a good traveler so we would not be too concerned if we have to drive a significant distance from our home in Durham so long as it is to the best place for him to stay.

if you search for dog hotels (sounds daft i know) then you should find someone in your area that looks after dogs in their home.

It is more costly than hotels but they are well experienced and you can go meet them before hand and take your dog so he will familiar when he gets there and not too stressed by the fact he is in another house with another temporary owner (so to be speak)

my dog is going to one in March as we are off to London for the weekend. We have already met her and her dog and feel very comfortable that my boy will have a great time.

I have used a lovely service called Holidays 4 dogs , they looked after my dog in their home and treated my dog just like their own maybe more, my dog loved his stay so much that I will be definatly rebooking. I hope this helps just check them out

Thanks - sadly my family will be abroad with us but I have managed to secure the services of a lovely couple about 3 miles away. Ben passed the introductions with flying colours!!
