My 2 year old dog was treated for severe constipation by enema under aesthetic 6 weeks ago. He was very weak and took a while to recover. Then he had tenesmus and had enemas (without anaesthetic) now he squeals when pooping. I think he has a small fissure inside his rectum.
Has anyone experienced this with their dog? If so how was it treated?
He has a special balanced wet food diet and 5mls of Laxatract x 2 perday.
He originally got constipation because of a bone.

It's probably best to run that by your vet. They will be able to say whether it's normal to still have some discomfort after the procedure or whether it's something that needs to be checked out.
