My wippets 11 months old . He needed some new toys . We visited petsmart . So many different toys . We got him a wiggly giggly dumbell and a wiggly giggly ball he loves the sounds they make. Also got a pack of three nylabones which he just throws around and a dental bone . Cost for all his toys £26 pounds . Looked at the kong toys but didnt know if they would stand up to his chewing . Whats your opinions on kong toys and which ones . Also opinions on other safe toys .

Kong toys seem to be the only things our boys cant wreck.

Lately, we've been buying 'cuddly' toys from the charity shop as they dogs seem to have fun pulling them apart.

Kongs are really tough. They stand up really well to the lab/retriever x guide dogs I board here..... And trust me, those guys can chew!!

You can get the black kongs for really strong chewers, but I've never had to resort to one of those yet.

Kongs are the only toys mine can't/don't destroy! Expensive initially, but well worth it, some of my Kongs are getting on towards 10 years old. Constantly in use!

Agree with all of the above. Sid loves his Kong and I wouldn't be without it. He has one on a rope which he chases and retrieves - it is marvellous. Throw a ball and he looks at me as if I am mad. He has totally destroyed other toys but the kong lives on

Thanks for all your replies . Will be putting a Kong toy on his santa list. Hes a good boy so i think santa will bring him one .

I have just got a new Kong pyramid - It is hard plastic and a bit like a weeble - with a hole in the top - you stuff it full of hard treats and they ahve to knock it over to get them out.

My whippets were a bit too gentile for about a day and then Stan soon caught on - they absolutely love it, but obviously access is restrited as they will soon get fat! Archie just stands behind Stan and waits for him to do all the hard work and then shares the rewards :lol:

Holly is very fond of Nylabones, keep her quiet for ages :thumbsup: Frankie isn't one for toys really
