Not a good reaction to Dog Walkers on this thread!! I am a dog walker- I am not a member of any Pet Sitting Register as they wanted £500 to join them, and I couldnt afford that much! :b However, I have very good insurance, take a pride in my job, and my walks officially begin when the dogs paws hit the ground- I dont include travelling time in my rates, but often drive a good distance to go for a beautiful walk, suited to each dog.

Oh, and just to mention, I am CRB checked- regularly volunteer at the local primary school, and have never rifled a knicker drawer yet(apart from my own!)

Hope you find someone you can trust ;)

I sometimes meet our local 'registered' dog walker when I am out with the whippies. She and an associate often have up to 15 dogs with them all off the lead. I have seem her walking 8 on her own. I am not impressed. it is far too many dogs to manage. The dogs may be great together but how can you keep an eye no cleaning up after that many dogs and what happens if an outside dog starts a fight? I know most dog walkers can not be classed in the same category but some people are just downright stupid or greedy.
