what does people think. there seems to be loads a litttuns not making 16 lb.

why not have class called micros, all in under 16 lb off scratch.

100 yds.

would stop loads of dogs going to pet homes.and would be a lovely safe little class .

we provide for nolimit. why not under limit

I think thats an absolutely brilliant idea, the more the merrier as far as I can see. :D

I'd really like to see a Micro Whippet 100yd Dash. Afterall we could be missing out on seeing some super little racers.

Come on organisations who's going to be the first to give it a go :- "

how about down the back straight at HIGHGATE if there's enough interest we'll put a race see how it goes

22nd March NNWRF/HIGHGATE LEDGER

NON- PEDS

LURCHERS

PEDDIES

and now MICROS (w00t)

Theres no need for the fed to add another group David for dogs that don't make 16lb... dogs at 15/14lb always got there yards

Blue goblin / michebelle scally wag all have ran with the fed at 15lb and got there start

our class are upto 20lb or up to 17lb ....not like bwra 16lb to 20lb

I did mean to mention this to the nnwrf committee after the straight super league 07 when a yearling weighed in at 15lb it should of ran at 15lb

Don't know who changed it but this needs addressing

sally wag was only 14lb carole and she ran at that with the fed

dee,s correct on this, as little oliver ( master twist ) always weighed 15lb and at devon he was made to race at 16lb with all events,.

Glad this has been brought to light - as I was sure that if under 16 dogs always did get their yardage in the NNWRF and so they should.

I'm not sure if this occasion was when our 'littley' that was made to run off 16 or not but i do remember throwing a 'slight' wobbly  when told she couldn't at one meeting last year and my point exactly is what you have said Dee Fed states up to 17 or up to 20 no bottom weight is stated :- "

 So if your dog is 14lb/15lb and can hold its own get racing it with the Fed they are as much whippet as the bigger ones ;)

I am sure when the coms together this weekend the general  ;) will get it sorted

just checked up on this with Vin Angell who was one of the originators of the NWRF a 14lb or 15lb ran off its weight in the upto 20lb class and got its yardage at CHAMPIONSHIPS they ran in the 17lb class and receive their yardage for their weight

this was the norm as they were very few and far between HOWEVER the NNWRF committee will reveiw this and depending on the number of dogs under 16lb to see if it warrants another class being added for the champs

the littuns well under 16 are good for 100 yards then the others team past over the last 50. also wouldnt like to see a 30+ going into the lure with such a fine little dog. a class of there own if there where plenty about would be safer.

at the end of the day the dogs welfare must come first.

how many under 16 are there?????????

would be good to watch down the finish out of the 4 bend traps.

I wont not say many race are under 16lb David at the moment...i found its not so much the weight of 16lb and under it the size they grow to that makes a deferents

micro racers, might not a a lot about at the moment as people get rid as they not fastenough over 150,but over 100 would be an explosive class these dogs usually fly the traps and have great early pace.people might start and keep under sized dogs ,if the micro got off the ground  .

little oliver would of been a spot on micro.

oooooooooooo just found this thread!!! would this mean that iggy crosses would be able to run?? they are of whippet type appearance just micro :D

Not a bad idea, if it means people not rehoming smaller dogs then i say go for it!!!

I think it is a good idea

I have a 15 pound bitch

litter sister to NIKES GEM & EVERSLEY LAD

She is good for 100 yards

vicki

we ran blue goblin at 16 even though she was sometimes 15 same as colin and alisons little ones still won plenty :) so i dont think its such a good thing :( then it could go can we have classes upto 37 or 40 in the yard per pounds (w00t) any dog under 16 can allready run of its weight is there enuff traps for another class whene it comes to run offs etc :) just my thoughts  also theres not many that dont make 15 pound anyway
