I.M.O the idea with this class was for the micro to have there own class, as 9 times out of 10 they cannot compete over 150.

Yes David the fed do cater for under 16lb and yes they do get there yardage or they always did till the past 3 years ... theres no bottom weight group in fed unlike bwra where it states 16lb to 32lb

Ive ran at the irg medals Devon event with blue goblin 15lb @ 2" lb and won ...it was a 5 dog race and she was the only 15lber in it ..if there good enough they will win ...but same as any dog in its classes

We bred alitter and kept the two small one's one was 13lb one was 15lb both won yd a lb at 150yd at club level never won at open level. The best lightwieght i ever saw run was ALL THE BLUES weight 14lb. This bitch won opens from 140yds/175yds all at yd lb she even won the derby.She was a litter by Blue PeterxBaby Doll and this was in the sixties with up to 200dogs in the handicap what a bitch.
