We have recently had a holiday on our narrowboat. Brilliant weather except for the last day and overnight thunderstorm. Great holiday for Dolly and Bobby.

Dolly at full pelt.

Dragonfly stayed on the rope long enough to take some pics.

Thanks Jan - I'm a bit slow with the photos and haven't mastered putting multiple pics on yet. Must spend more time on K9!!!!

Wow, that looks a great holiday. Whereabouts were you, Sarah? How did Dolly and Bobby take to life on board?

That tail is pure Basil Brush

Your photos really capture the essence of your boating holiday. Amazing that you caught a photo of a dragonfly.

I'm sooooo jealous Sarah it must be brilliant having your very own narrowboat  Dogs look as if they had a great time :huggles:

The boat is kept on the Grand Union Canal a few minutes from home. It's fairly near Braunston, which is quite well known in boating history. We travelled up to Market Harborough, through Foxton which is quite a popular tourist attraction as it has a 'staircase' of locks. Loads of families with their children watch the boats and help with the locks which makes it easy!!
Dolly and Bobby are fine on board, but we still keep Dolly in her cage when going through the locks for her safety. Bobby has fallen in off the back of the boat and slipped off the gang plank, but this time there were no mishaps. :- " A couple of years ago he jumped off as we went under a bridge and we didn't realise for a while that he wasn't on board. Dolly has only fallen in from the tow path when Bobby knocked her in.

Smashing photos... 1st one of Dolly full pelt is excellent.

More pics please would love to see the front end of Bobby

More pics - hope this works as I'm attempting multiple pictures. :luck:

I'll try again as they were rather large.

Looks like you all had a lovely break

:) I'm so jealous, i've always wanted to take Harry on a narrow boat, he would love it i'm not really into taking him abroad quite yet. Every year i get brochures etc but every year realise how unbelievably expensive a weeks break is  it's cheaper to go to the Bahamas instead!! Why is it sooooooo expensive?
