hello everyone, recently took our two dogs to vets for full mot, wormed, flead and boosters etc, noticed today they are both scratching well, upon further examination they both have fleas, all bedding is hot washed, house, carpets etc treated every month, outside pens scrubbed with jeyes fluid.can i frontline again as it was only 2 weeks ago.?

My brother has cats which have never had fleas in over 10 years. Following two recent visits to the vet they came back with fleas!

I dread having fleas :(

Probably best to ring the vet surgery and ask the nurses. Not sure how soon you can re-do a flea treatment, but I think it's a bit odd that they have fleas if you frontlined two weeks ago. Is the frontline inside its use-by date?

frontline date is sep `09,went to see vet, had chat about dogs"how strange"he said,he asked the other vet,who had "never heard of this happening before"they were also unsure if i could use it again, they would need to contact suppliers, all i could do for now was" purchase one of our flea collars" until we get in touch,by which time enough was enough the red mist came down, and i told them both exactly what i thought of their surgery and them,  took dogs to a different vets, was given some good advice and some spot on (FOR FREE) now have a vet that seems to know what he`s talking about.

I've had experience of this and my own theory is frontline expires before the expiry date stated. It hasn't happened with every bottle but I wonder if how it is stored has an effect. My last bottle was only effective for a fortnight so they all got spot on instead, I was a little worried about using it but I have to admit it did work extremely well.
