Thought some of you like to support this attempt at Law change. Basically its about this .........

The “Full Justice for Kelly” campaign seeks a change in the law to stop prison sentences and driving bans on drunk drivers being served consecutively.

Kelly Woodward was killed when a drunk driver lost control of his car and crashed it killing her and injuring her friends.

Sadly, such drunk drivers can often serve their prison sentences and driving bans at the same time – often meaning that once they are released, they can walk out of prison and straight into the seat of a car and drive away.

The “Full Justice for Kelly” campaign aims to change the law so that when a magistrate or judge jails someone and imposes a driving ban, that ban starts on the day they walk free and not a day sooner.

The man responsible for killing Kelly Woodward was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and given a driving ban of five years. It could effectively mean that just six months after being released, he could be back in the driving seat.

Our campaign will fight to have all driving bans served in full AFTER the drunk driver is released from prison.

Even though I dont know Kelly, she could be a child of any of ours and the people that D&D do re-offend and any delays to keep them off the road would mean safer roads/pavements for all of us

very worthwhile cause. :thumbsup: i hate drivers who take drugs or drink.as far as im concerned its manslaughter as they know what theyre doing when they take a drink/drugs and get behind the wheel of a car.theyre just an accident waiting to happen

unfortunately they continue to drive,we had one near us,a young lad no licence,kept getting ban after ban,when ever i saw him drive i reported him,he always use to do the school run,so i told the police where he would be & the time,he only got a few months inside and still drives,i wont hesitate to shop him again if i see him.
