When we woke up at home we had sunshine, but when we reached Newmarket it was overcast and windy.

When we called the 1st race up we had a small shower & then the rest of the day was dry.

When I read what the weather was like at other meetings, we were so lucky again, and the sun did just about show its self.

The meeting its self went of very well, The racing was very close, and those trialing are improving and moving up a stage, and will soon be included in the racing.

It was racing to Club Handical over 150 yds, dogs weight & ability taken in to consideration

The results do not show the close finishes & tuff results the line judges had to make. This was the 1st race meeting for Jaquie's Isn't She Loveley, and she showed great promice, also. Ian Germans pup now called Black Mayle is also showing promice. It was a very enjoyable meeting & pleased to see some members from Harvel Club competing

Our next meeting is 13th March when we will racing for THE ANNIVERSARY TROPHY for Open class dogs, and THE PEANUT TROPHY for Novices over a distance of 150 yds at 1/2yd lb

Look forward to seeing you

Carol

.... and now NOT called Blackmayle.

Don't ask me why - I don't want to ruin your thread here - but I'm

Thanks Carol,

Just one amendment. Ayda "Isn't She Lovely" was first not fourth in her first race

It was another great day's racing, we were very lucky with the weather. There were some great races but my favourite was Marley's race 21 with the big heavy weight boys, two twenty eight pounders and two 32 pounders starting from scratch all getting out brilliantly, all giving their all and all within a head of each other at the end, we had no idea who had won it from the traps, it took the judges ages to call. Young Burlington Bertie winning it, he will be a dog to watch this year. In fact 3 of the dogs were less than two years old. Great race.

Looks like a great day by all.....me n eddie (cadman simply red) wish we were closer to your club

Well done Aida your bro Gio is very proud of you well done baby girl
