East Midlands B.w.r.a.

JMO as a member, that it would be easier all round for the meeting to be moved to Shirebrook, where the racing is taking place, but cant see anyone getting a reply from the top table, they are all away racing this weekend. They may have to pay a fee to Poolsbrook for the room even if it's cancelled, but seeing as The Staff as offered a room for nothing, they balance each other out.I have never as a rep claimed expenses Jac,and wouldn't dream of doing so,wether running a dog or not. With the financial climate being as it is.I dont think anyone should be claiming expenses.Like I said JMO.We'll have to wait and see if the top table have even thought about changing the venue of the meeting.

JMO but In all fairness Karen, the reps have not asked for this meeting and they have no idea whether it is vital that they represent their region or not,so is it really fair to expect them to put anything from £50 to £100 worth of fuel in their tanks at their own expense, especially if they don't intend running a dog at the open that will be on, although if you do run a dog it used to be the rule that you could only claim half your expenses I assume it is still the rule.

As it stands the BWRA only pay half the expense and it is up to the region if they pay the other half. Everyone is under financial pressure at the moment just from day to day living expenses but this meeting must be very important if the BWRA are asking reps to attend knowing what costs could be involved, but just like you this is just my opinion.

 No-one seems to know why this meeting has been called, but, with regards to people travelling, I hope for everyones' sake, that IT IS IMPORTANT, seeing as folf are going to added expense of travelling. Having said that, I have to agree with Shell, when she says that the venue for the meeting is a matter for the B.W.R.A. and nothing to do with where and when, we, as a region, hold our opens. It is our job to try and do the best for OUR members and try to ensure a good turn out. Regions are lucky if they break even and have very little opportunity to earn badly needed funds to ensure their survival. If there is confusion about the time and place of the "meeting", then someone from the B.W.R.A. should do what they were elected to do and show some leadership and make a decision that is for the good of the majority! JMO

well lets just hope that common sense prevails and the meeting is at shirebrook after all more people will be in attendace and surley that is whats needed and hopefully whatever the meeting is about can be sorted once and for all

Thats Ok Karen, I call mine senior moments ( lol ) But even those who are not running a dog should only be claiming half the cost from the BWRA and that is per mile and not the cost of the fuel which still leaves those particular reps to cover the rest of the expense themselves.

I think expense need to be look at end of year meeting and placing of meets so they get biggest turn out of members JMO

 Would everyone please note that the East Midlands B.W.R.A. Another Maid open for Top Ten Points will now be held at Shirebrook Staff W.R.C. The date is still 13th May and the deatails are as per the original advert. We are extremely grateful to all the committee and workers at Shirebrook for agreeing to hold this open for us at such short notice, as the ground at Notts and Derby is still too wet to risk causing damage to it or the dogs. Would you all tell those of your friends who do not have access to K9, so that we can have a good turn out for the region, although this event is open to all comers! Please turn up and have a good days' sport! On behalf of the East Midlands Committee, Dee!
