Woo - hoo ! Well done Jackie!
How did you NOT pick off a CC or RCC after winning TWO classes each ????

Lana , they are not yet even 14 months old , I was well pleased with what theyd won . Plenty of time for `other things` :luck: :luck: :huggles:

As I said the competition was hot

Some dogs do win CC's at under 14 months though JAX.

I remember one of Bobby James' going BIS at an all breeds Ch show when he was less than a year old.

The competition. the dogs. the exhibitors. the tent - were ALL HOT yesterday.(!) (!)

Lets hope it's a little cooler for everyone at Leeds on Sunday (not that we are showing as our bitch has come in season) :(

Vanessa Turnbull bitch got her first CC at six months old

We all know it CAN happen...occasionally - but the point I guess Jax is trying to make is that with young dogs, winning a class is enough - you don't even think about getting a ticket or reserve.

Also it is hard for a dogs of that age to be capable of winning a CC against mature dogs.

Also in my very humble opinion it doesn't do any dog any favours getting CC's at such a young age :- " :- " Anyway....

Congrats to all esp Jax doing the double whammy X 2!!

Does that mean that if you won a ticket but thought your dog was too young, you would hand it back then Jo???????

  Oh yeah ;)

I know what you are saying Dawn , but India IMO is still maturing and not yet the `finished` article :luck: So to win the CC or even the reserve would of course been super ;) but at the end of the day I think more mature and finished bitches won the correct awards .

To give the CC to a minor IMO ( and I dont mean this personnally Vanessa :huggles: ) but its a bit of an insult to the mature top quality bitches that were there in `higher classes ` and I know Im not alone with this thought , :- "

If I was judging and I thought a puppy deserve to win the CC or reserve I would have to think long and hard that it was IMO superia to all the other bitches . and to be honest :teehee: I wouldnt want a 6 -9 month pup looking like an adult would you

i agree what you said Jackie  about not fair on the more mature ones, and i know Vanessa was surprise more than anyone, but what can you do???you can't say' no thanks'

well i wish you all the best with the babies   and if you on the roll, like you are you will never know what you will received :D GO FOR IT!!!!!!! THEY ARE LOVELY DOGS :huggles: :huggles:

well done jax, congratulaions harvee and india! theres plenty of time for tickets yet, theyre only babies still. but one day...................

superia  superior   :b

Speelin was neva my forty

I also think CCs for really young Whippets is a bit of a statement thing, sometimes judges are saying look at me I spotted it first. Its not so bad at open shows but at Champ shows there are usually plenty of beautiful dogs and especially bitches in the higher classes. Far Souperia :- "
