Like a lot of other churches we organised a sunrise service for today. My husband (the vicar) assured everyone last week that whatever the weather it would go ahead! :- " Little did he know that we would wake up on Easter morning to 4 or 5 inches of snow. (w00t) But he thought he ought to go anyway just in case anyone else had braved it (one car full plus one other person with her dog actually got there). It really was lovely though being out in the snow at that time of morning. And we went back to the Methodist church for a big breakfast feast. :D Here's a few pics.

5.00am letting the dogs out to the toilet.

I've got loads of doggie pics in the snow which I'll post later (but promise not all 80+ of them! )

Aw they are beautiful photos and it looks as if Jonah and Muffin had a super time dashing about in all that snow

I was up with the larks also as we had a windy drive in to Truro to go to our service at the cathedral as Bishop Bill was giving his last sermon before he retires :(

We had a flurry of snow yesterday for a good 2 minutes but it was too windy to stick ....nothing today though

beautiful pictures. you wouldnt believe its spring would you?weve got sunshine and dry weather here and up to now havent seen any snow though we had a bit of sleet/hail last night.

Great pics - wish we had a sunrise service - I usually go out with the dogs and do my own thing!

Snow might have made a better backdrop for the nativity - but lovely atmosphere - well done Richard and the hardy few for sticking it out :D

I bet that was a moving service - he's a good man isn't he? We are lucky to have to excellent Bishops in Bristol Dio. too. You can just see why these people are Bishops can't you?

I hope you enjoyed his final sermon :huggles:

It was a brilliant sermon, funny and thought provoking.. Bishop Bill is a wonderful man. :huggles:

My MIL was on the tv this evening as she was caught by the TV people as we were coming out and they asked her about it.
