I know when our old ESS had the aggresive tumour removed from the inside of his cheek our Vet's prognosis was only a few weeks but he actually had another 9 months before it had regrown back to such a size and spread that it was no longer kind to keep him going, although I have to say he had not given up eating or doodling around the run and all his bodily functions were normal. But, as I say, his tumour was inside his mouth whereas if Eddie's is on his shoulder it may well be that he soldiers on for a good while yet.
