:D Went to Edwinstowe Open Show at Newark on Wednesday, where there was a very respectable entry for Linda Race (Afghan's). I went with mixed feelings because that was due to be Mickey's first show, but that was not to be. He now has wonderful new owners and will have a life long pal with Ziggy their other young dog. He has gone to live at Redcar and they are very dedicated because they drove down in all that horrible rain.

Back to Edwinstowe -Dawn popped along with her two new puppies just for the ride, but had to get back because Richard was putting her tea on at 6.30, one a brindle and the other a nearly white with brindle patches. They had a great time seeing all the Whippets. Lively they are too.

These are the results:

Puppy (7, 1a -Mickey :( )

1st Newtons Nevedith Mfa Madam RBOB,PG1 & RBPIS - beaten by a poodle!

2nd Brocks Spinneyhill Masquerade

3rd Ormonds Denimonde Weaving a Dream

4th Furniss's Supeta's Groovy Guy of Sheadylady

Junior (4,2)

1st Fiers Lokeren Dream Angel BOB

2nd Whitaker-Crosby's Mulcair Makyn Lurve

Post Grad (4,1)

1st Defaye & Crouch's Demerlay Silver Dream at Fedaye

2nd Mulcair Makyn Lurve

3rd Brock's Cobyco Classic Love

Open (7, 2)

1st Ormond's Veredon Invisible at Denimonde

2nd Fiers Nevedith Beefa Beejabers at Lokeren

3rd Defaye & Crouch's Demerlay Silver Phantom at Fedaye

4th Mycrofts Supeta's Loverlee

It was disappointing in the group cost Angel didn't get anywhere because she had started to hop whilst moving. The judge told me afterwards that she would have got the group if she hadn't been hopping! Looking at her feet afterwards, she had got a small cut on her pad, which she must have picked up when I took her out for a wee!

Still it was a lovely evening and the first open show I've been to in ages and only the second for Angel. So we weren't disappointed at all.

Mind you, me dodgy knees are still suffering as we had to go round the ring three times altogether in each class and not just one circuit but two. So after doing it in two classes, followed by BOB and group, I still am in agony. Pedro was driving thank goodness as when we got home, both knees had locked and it took a while to get out of the car and then straighten up. So I might just be ok for Driffield, but I'm stewarding not showing which is probably just as well

Well done Jan on BOB  ,but what a shame in the group :(

Just one mistake you've made in the result's,it was my Murphy who was RBOB
