I thought it was quite interesting that Emilie, at her very first show, stood and behaved better than Mabel, who has been doing it for over 2 years now!!

I then handed her over to my friend's 10 year old daughter, who is a top junior handler, and even though Mabel had never met her before, and is a bit choosy about strangers, she showed far better for Hollie than she did for me!

Typical of my lovely Mabel! Just watchand see what a fool she makes of me at Crufts.... :- "

Lily says Mabel  has got far better things to do with her time than being bored in a show ring.

Good luck on Friday - I'm sure she'll be brilliant. :luck: :luck:

Pardon my ignorance, but who would object, and why?
As far as I can see it's up to the individual, and how are other people allowed to object and on what grounds

Well done on her first show btw

People object because they can!!

Akita people used to have a go at me for moving the dogs on a loose lead, but I carried on anyway. The dog didn't like being strung up, and moved better loose so that was how I moved him. He isn't shown now as he has auto immune.

You are at a show to show your dog to it's best advantage however that is done, my mum used to freestand one of her Whippets as she hated being stacked. She did very well with her showing that way.
