Boy am i cheesed off, im with british gas  now my prob is, when i moved to this property about 7 yrs ago, the previous occupant had a prepayment meter installed, so i thought bugger it i will keep it, but you pay through the nose with em believe you me, ok so last friday i put a tenner on the card put it in the meter and it failed, so id no gas, on the phone to british gas, gets put through one dept to another, you all know the story, they sent out an engineer, nice chap he even made me a drink  fixes meter, i applied for a credit meter to be put in, they may charge me £95 for this, on top of that i need a new prepayment card for my existing meter untill the job can be done, cost of card £8, rip off gets, so who do you good folks use., im looking at Atlantic elec and gas at the mo

thank you

keith

A few years back now I moved into a student house with a pre payment meter in, got it changed straight away by british gas and they didn't charge us for it :) so you cold be lucky and not have to pay. This was in 1998 though so maybe they've changed now, always seem to want more and more money from us nowdays

We have npower at the moment, they are ok, expensive but it seems everyone else is too! I heard that atlantic were cheap but I don't know what their service is like :luck:

18 Months ago I was with NPower, I moved house and I'm still waiting for the rebate - about £300! They've done all kinds, from deny the account exists to trying to imply that it is in debt. Ironically I'm supposed to be getting the cheque today so we'll see what fun and games I encounter.

explain to them that you are in no financial position to pay the fee and that should they not do it you will be in difficulty when paying the next bill and as you are of pension age and would face hardshiop without heating

oh and ps tell them we all need jill warm and comfy , so threaten them with all us from k9!!!! (w00t)

The lady I used to work with has a daughter who brought a flat.

She thought she had better get her name put on to the gas bill so contacted british gas only to be told her flat did not have any gas!

Try as she might to convince BG they kept on saying she had no gas so for the entire time she lived there she never paid a penny and ran the heating and hot water constantly. :) o:)
