Well our baby is 11 weeks tomorrow so we tried to take some more standing pics. Esme was surprisingly good o:) , but the camera behaved very badly with enormous shutter lag  .

She is 3.7kg (8.24lb) at the moment.

What do you think- all comments on her and her position (especially the critical- I need to learn and really won't be offended) taken greatfully

Here she is (remember that Esme is the first puppy I have tried to teach to stand so I don't really know what I'm doing)

(unfortunately she moved her head out of shot while the pic was being taken  )

and rather a sweet one of her checking out whether the bait (salami)was worth standing for

A few of her face

Thank you all for looking

She is lovely. You have her just right in that last pic. I found it soooo much easier to stand my pups when I finally did it with a thin show lead. I'll remember that next time :D . What is her breeding?

Esme is beautiful and so cute !! :huggles: I just love her.. AND her name

I can't help you with technical advice.. I'm sure others will help you over here.

Esme is standing very nicely! What a good girls she is!

When she is a bit more sure of herself on the table you want her to look to the front rather than straight up.

Camera position... you might want to try another angle :- "

cool  what do you recommend?

In the current set you have a worm's-eye view (perspective distortion). Straight on or slightly from above, depends a bit on how leggy your pup is at any given moment :)

I am a novice to the ways of showing so no advice sorry :clown: but she looks lovely to me

can't offer advice on something I know nothing about but just to say her coat is beautiful and shiney, and look at that little full tummy, did you try to get her just after a feed ? o:) she is lovely

Esme is lovely,  you must be very proud of her!!

I think she is a little stretched out at the back in the first pics, but much better in the last one. I went to ringcraft as I had never shown before - it wasn't very helpful as there were no other whippets!! Try looking at pics posted on here, it's what I did (well, not on here as I didn't know about k9 at the time) but they will give you a good idea. Have you a mirror you can stand her in front of - then you can see her "from a distance"as the judge would.

Good luck with her. :luck: :luck:
