We had such beautiful weather yesterday that we decided to go out for a walk in a nearby country park. For once I didn't take many pictures of the whippets as we left them on lead for most of the time so here's a few photos of the park and the wildlife there. :)

The trees are just turning colour

It's a goose! I spent ages searching for what it was under 'ducks' then found out that it was an Egyptian Goose. I should have remembered what it was as there were a lot of them about on the Broads near where we lived in Norfolk and I looked it up then :-

lovely photos and one of those swans look familiar lol we got chased by one last year at nesting time!!!!!!! i love Etherow , we go there quite often , depending on weather we either just go up to the weir and back roind the other side or do the big walk round the tops and the top lake .

They had a bit of a hiss at Muffin who went a bit close! (w00t)

It is a lovely spot especially up by the other lake :D

Great photos Gillian, it looks a lovely place to walk with lots to see. I think my favourite has to be the one of the Egyptian goose plodding along it looks quite comical :teehee:

Beautiful photos - I really love the trees in black and white, and the close-up of the swan.

We saw some Egyptian Geese on the Broads on our recent holiday.
