Ok my 2 boys currently go out at 9/10 in the morning for 1hour (mountain walk )they are constantly running ,then the go out again for another hour at about 4ish (mountain walk again )and are running most of the time ,then they go out again at about 11/12 for 10/15mins just to do ther buisness .on the weekend i ride my bike down an old railway track which takes us about 2hrs and they are constantly running to keep up with me ..do you think this is enough exersize for 2 young boy's  they also have constant use off a small back yard .

I would say yes!! I take Dolly out for 20 mins in the morning, the dog walker then takes her out for 1/2 hr in the morning and 1/2 hr in the afternoon. I then take her out for about 1 hr in the evening when i get home from work. When Jayse is at home Dolly and Mojo have the run of the house and garden and spend nearly all their day playing in the garden if it's nice. At the weekend they normally get an hours walk in the morning and then a couple of hour walk in the afternoon oe me Dolly and Jayse go for a eight mile bike ride. She loves that!!

I would say if they are happy and not putting on wieght and have good muscle definition you must be doing the right thing. What does everyone else think? I didn't know if i walked Dolly too much?

I would say Yes too :)

I have two boys and take them out around 8.30-9 am for about 30-40 minutes

then again mid afternoon for the same length of time. Some of this is free running and some leader walking too.

They also get another walk out between 7.30 and 8,30 in the evening, which is usually on the leader come the dark evenings. Then last thing on a night - its a quick spin out in the garden then off to bed. :)

I take Zeb out at about 8.15 for about 45-50 mins.

Then again at 2.40ish until 3.00.

Zeb then has 1 hour walk at 6pm.

Can we all come to live with you please?! :D

Yes it's certainly enough - (I'm not sure how old they are I'm assuming they are fully grown.)

Mine get 40 mins free running at 7.30 then an hour lead and free running lunch time and then 20-30 mins free running 7pm ish. (They'll loose this with the dark nights approaching tho :( ) At approx 9pm Lucas starts to bounce off the walls again so we play fetch in the garden for 10 mins :)

They have free access to the garden all day, as long as it's dry.

If they dont get 3 walks I get no peace at all (w00t)

Holly only comes on one walk a day now :(

I would definately say yes! Where do you get all that time to walk them from! Mine go out once a day. 20-30 mins constant free running and a 20 min uphill all the way lead walk. Then if out lamping thats at least 2 hours of hard running. :D They have access to the garden all day, but most of the time they just sleep anyway.

Sounds good to me! Mine go out twice a day free running but, although I only work part-time, I wish I didn't have to work at all because then I could be out longer or more frequently with them!

just wanted to compare to see if they were getting enough as they still seem to have loads of energy again about 2hrs after ther walks despit running ther socks off contantly .ther nearly 11 and 16months old i dont lead walk as i live by mountain so they free run .I no longer work so they have me all day :) and have free run of the garden and house.

I work all day and leave the house at 6:30 am so i normally get up at 5 am so i can get them fed and then out for at least 1/2 t0 3/4 hr before i leave for work. The at night i try to make sure that Dolly gets around an hour. Of course if it's sunny i still have to play with her toy in the garden. My dog walker then lets them out twice a day. I have to say it's handy when my husband is working from home as i know he can take them for a long walk once i have gone to work. Dolly thrives on loads of excercise i don't know what Mojo is going to be like when he's older. Saying that when i was out this morning in the rain, they weren't that keen on the walk!!
