Poor Alfie pounced on something next to the river and stung his eye in the nettles! I'm relectant to give him a piriton as last time he had explosive diarrhoea from it?! It's looking bad anything else I can do?? :(

Awww poor Alfie :( Not a lot you can do, I give Urtica for nettle stings as Archie is forever getting covered in stings after chasing anything that moves  It is a homoeopathic and needs to be 30C potency. I would recommend keeping some on stand-by if it happens again.

Hope he feels better soon :luck:

I tried bathing it but it didn't help much :( , so I gave him 2 lamb hearts which took his mind off it very rapidly! Now he's stopped rubbing at it it looks a bit better :)

Awww thank you I'll send on your well wishes! :huggles: I must say he certainly is playing the sympathy card - I've never seen him so sad?! :clown:

As Jo said, Urtica 30c, I give them every 15 mins when they are first stung. Also bath in cold water (or in the case of an eye, a pad of cotton wool soaked in cold water, use as a compress, don't rub it though!) as often as you can.

Yes we're bathing the eye now as it's still weak :( Haven't got any Urtica but it's probably worth us getting some as he's bound to do it again! :- "
