I'm biting my nails here and hoping Palace will win.
The FA cup doesnt seem to be as important as it used to be back in the day . In the 70s, it was huge . It was usually in June and had a big build up .

Sorry out this in the wrong place. have asked the Mods to move it .

Done :)

I've no interest in football, with the possible exception of England in the Euros and World Cup - though only because Mr N will be watching the matches. But I'll support Palace in solidarity with you, Dibbs, even though I haven't a clue who they're playing!

I lived near Glasgow from the age of 4 till 10. Despite being a sassenach, I was well aware of the Rangers/Celtic divide, with a vague awareness that I ought to support Rangers and not Celtic. Which was odd, as my parents weren't religious in the slightest, and the school wasn't denominational. Though in one class the boys were taught to knit (must have been ahead of its time) - most knitted blue and white scarves, but the odd one or two knitted green and white ones.

🤣 I forgot to say who Crystal Palace were playing . It was Man City and Palace won.
I played briefly back in the 70s in a ladies football team where I worked. I enjoyed playing.
We played netball at school. Girls didnt play football then.

I was rubbish at all games! Well, any that involved hand-eye coordination. Or strength in the arms. Running was OK.

I watched it and I too really wanted Palace to win.

They'll play in the Europa League next season, as a result. Man City won't play in Europe at all.

I hate all football and think it should be banned from all peak / daytime time viewing.
If really necessary to be shown late evening after 10pm.
I can see nothing clever in grown men kicking a ball around and then crying and acting like kids when someone trips them up!

They could take up acting. I prefer to watch it when I dont mind who wins . I can enjoy the game without biting my nails .

It is quite funny to see how footballers react to a slight tumble, and compare them to rugby players 🤣

They say that football is about two teams of men trying to convince the referee that they've been injured. Rugby is about two teams of men trying to convince him that they haven't.

I watch Rugby too. I prefer women's rugby to women's football. It's more exciting,

We were mixed in the Sixth form and were challenged by the young ladies to an inter gender hockey match. Forget genteelity (if that’s the correct word) they trounced us. We decided not to accept their challenge for a rugby match the following autumn. Once again, very happy days.
