Hi!

Lucian Freud (grand son of famous Sigmund Freud) who I understand is one of the most admired contemporary painters around. Lucian actually has used whippets in his paintings.

His whippet's name was Pluto I think but don't know id he can still be alive??

Italian Greyhounds are 'Toys' in the UK  and I can understand why; they were bred as companion dogs for ladies while the men hunted with the full-size versions according to history. So their purpose was as a lapdog and not a hunter.
I often wondered why they were classed as a toys, now I know. It makes sense, but I also think of them as small sighthounds! :b

Chris Amoo Owns Wolfhounds & Afghan Hounds

theres a few famous dogs here. Many of the dogs in this historic collection date back one hundred years. It was first made for The Natural History Museum and moved to Tring in 1968. The dogs illustrate how selective breeding has altered many of the breeds over the years. The 'stars' of the collection are three famous greyhounds; Fullerton, Mick the Miller and Ballyregan Bob.

Now I was laying in bed last night trying to get to sleep, thinking about whippets as you do (w00t) and I remebered that it wasn't Liv Tyler I saw a picture of with an IG, it was Jade Jagger! I got the wrong rock stars daughetr
