Ours are all a couple of pound over their racing weight and taking full advatage of their winter rest lazing about and enjoying being fat.

Cara's like a coiled spring and dying for a run  , once she'd finished racing within a couple of weeks all her fur came back nice and thick on her thighs too

Anyone else's gang already making the most of their rest?

Don't know about the dogs Vicky, but i'm enjoying reduced walks  On our leisurely stroll :- " this morning, the pup and Juk(terrier/tinkerman) decided they wanted to go and play with a beautiful all white Boxer  Whats the problem in that you ask? :- " Nothing really except the boxer went home a lovely mud colour,by the time my pair of hooligans had finished :b Don't think the owner was very amused :- " but the Boxer really enjoyed itself :D

Mine were all over weight and good job to. When they were bad they all lost 1lb to 1 1/2lb over 2 days. Now they back to racing weight hate to think what they would have looked like had they not been over weight to start with. Mine all also enjoying a rest if I can get them out I do if not then they just lie on my bed. Only one running is Murphy in the handycap and he won his first race today. :D

Now he is 8 and retired Tig is fat all year round! But strangely he has put himself on a diet and slimmed down a bit! Maybe its cos his Santa paws t shirt was more snug than he likes or more likely he's slimmed down so he can pig out over Christmas with the rest of us!

Maizee's enjoying her retirment 29lb running around like aTAZ DEVIL

We usually rest ours over the winter and the bitches always come in season anyway but they do tend to put 1-2lb on but in Toni case she can get 3lb on her girls easy lol :p

I thought my girls were looking a bit thin so got tony to weigh them there all 2lb over weight (w00t) but cos iv only seen pet wheippst against mine for a few week they didnt look that big. they get walked and free run asmuch as the summer but that couple of runs a week makes such a differnce plus the odd extra dog bicky or 2. think me and the dogs are cutting back in the new years. the only one who is still the same weight is indy no matter what she does or eats she never ever goes over 22lb dont you just hate dogs and peoepl that can eat anything and stay slim

my girls have put 3;lb on easily ooopps lol never mind they like their extra food lol i thin k gracey only put on 1lb n 1/2 wen i ahd her a week and a bit lol :D
