Been out for a meal tonight with people I didn't really want to go out with-just through politeness......

crap overpriced meal-...........and to top it all just been flashed by a speed camera-

think I was doing 30-34??????? in a 30 area.......will I get a ticket through the post?

I'm not a boy racer for god's sake!

never had a penalty/accident in my 23 years of driving. :(

that's asking for it eh?

not always, i was flashed a month back and not heard anything although it can sometimes take a long time to come through.

stats say more people caught doing 33/34 in a 30 limit than the boy racer types

My OH got flashed and I got a letter within a week I sent it back saying I was not driving it took another week for it to get back to my husband.

He got offered a chance to go on a driving awareness course which cost £60 but if you do that you don't get the points on your licience

tell them it was Steve and send him on the course :- " (w00t)

i was flashed twice in one week on the same road

never heard a thing

I got a ticket within a fortnight.

Think you should blame it on Steve and send him on the course, he's got nowt better to do with his day  :teehee:

Did get flashed another time though and never heard anything.

how many times did the camera flash you?

if it only flashed once its a warning flash you wont here anything

if it flashed twice you will get a ticket, they need the 2 photos to prove how fast you were going.

usualy does a warning flash between 30 and 33,

above that it should ticket you :b

i got 3points £60 fine doing 33mph in a 30zone :(

Back in May i went through a 50 camera at about 60.

On the motorway between Aberdeen and Dundee the limit is 70mph but there is a really bad junction where they have taken the limit down to 50 due to accidents.

I was driving down that road and i was aware the 50 zone was coming up but my sister in the passenger seat was messing about with CDs for us to listen to and i was giving the occasional glance to see what she was doing.

Before i knew it i looked up and i was about 2 seconds away from going through A camera i wasnt sure if it was the 50 so i braked a little (to about 60mph) then as i drove further on i saw BIG 50 signs.

I wont repeat what i was saying at that point!! (w00t)

Im not sure if it flashed - but i never got anything through the post anyway! Phew..... :sweating:
