Camlough,is a picturesque village in South Armagh, overshadowed by Camlough mountain and Slieve Gullion. This magnificent scenery is mirrored by the famous Camlough lake, which is 2 miles long, and nestles between these two famous mountains. Camlough, is situated on the periphery of the "Ring of Gullion" and is an area of outstanding natural beauty and rich green countryside. The village has become very popular with visitors in the summertime, who find a warm welcome in the village, and especially at the annual Feile and Dog show, which has now become one of the highlights of the year in the town.

Last Saturday the 4th of August was that day,the day of the annual dog show in Camlough. From early morning, family men, women, children, dogs and trailers in tow, began arriving at the venue in the village. The sun shone all day, and the wee people played to their hearts content in full view of their parents and charges. As well as the dog show, there was a wide variety of entertainment both for Adults and children to see and partake in.

As I strolled around the field,I stopped off at Pets Corner. It was a real treat to see the little happy faces of the children,as there eyes could not beleive what they were seeing . There was Donkeys/Alpacas/Shetland Ponies/Pigs/Rabbits/Snakes/A Goat/Soay Sheep/Hens and Geese. What a menagery of animals and pets. There was also Pony Rides. Further up the field Bouncy Castles were in place, absolutely wonderful and well supervised. Some tired children and adults on Satuday night.

And Finally, may I take this opportunity to thank Pearse O Hagan, his lovely wife, and his brilliant team of helpers for a most enjoyable day and a brilliant show. Thanks to all the judges and stewarts who carried out their duties with effiency and sincerity. Not an easy job, well done to you all. Bluebell, Deidre Mc Coy was there to take the photographs, and I cannot wait to see them. Thanks for that "Bluebell " Again Pearse thank you for a great day, and look forward to doing it all again next year Please
