four days into the new year and another decent bag of rabbits ,didnt start of to well as the first two sections of hedgerow didnt produce any rabbits.to make matters worse one of the pups ran into the stopnets tangling it up bad and snapped one of my hazel poles.within seconds a rabbit bolted and ran over the stop net which was laying on the ground, but fern gave chase ,jumped a wooden fence and put in a good course that wasnt to be.then another rabbit bolted into my other stop net which gave us our first bunny.we went to were fern had coursed the first rabbit and netted up this produced two ,one which we dug to (i mean dad)moaning all day again ,mardy arse lol .and the other was held at the entrance by the ferret.we bolted two more out of this section of hedge row ,the first one made its way across the field with fern snapping at its scut but it made its through the sheep fencing.the second one same again across the same field with fern striking but still missing as the rabbit went through the sheep fencing fern jumped the fence but went up rather than over and landed on the top which was barbed wire ,i hate that stuff . she started screaming but as i made my way over to her she managed to free herself.checked her over she was very lucky only a couple of tiny punctures and some long scratchers.we moved up the hedge row and managed to bag another in the purse net ,then one bolted further back down the hedge row from were had just came from and fly and fern both gave chase but this also made it to safety.we moved to were these three rabbits had ran and found a nice little warren which we netted up.we put the ferret down and straight away we had two bolters.my dad pointed to were i was standing and at my feet was a baby stoat which didnt seem worried at all.my dad went to speak to the land owner who was across the field, and as i was waiting for the ferret to emerge so we could get packing up another rabbit was added to the bag.these were legged and hung on our blue rope.the land owner understands these hedges are hard work to ferret as you cant net up most of the holes but when he saw all seven rabbits he was chuffed. eleven in two days ,hopefully some bigger bags to come .took some photos when we got home before we skinned and gutted them ,and in one of the does there was two young .couldnt believe it for this time of year as it has been freezing aswell as anyone else experianced this .

just a few pics.
