I went to put my bitch to a great dog at just after two but she wasn't ready, so I would say at least two but really it depends on the individual dog after that.

thanks that what I thought. She has just come into season for the second time and isnt 2 till May so I thought far to young. Some one else told me it was ok but to me she is still very much a baby. But I wasnt sure if that was just me being soppy lol.

I mated my Jack Russel on her second season just before her 2nd birthday but she was so much more mature than Megan is.

Will give me plenty of time to think about a stud :wub:

i think a lot depends on the bitch and how mature she is mentally as well as physically the most important thing is she is fit and healthy
