Well done to winners and workers glad you had good day i can see your point ray this is bwra mid west open surely there enough money to get supremes trophy were all money going that people pay there membership/racing fees may be this open should be scrapped like few more in calendar with very poor attendance just my opinion

Break down of where the money is going!

Raffle 35.00

Total Income 215.00

Regions receive only 15p for each member payable back from the National BWRA no money is paid direct from the members to our region for 2010/2011 this amounted to 7.35

So NO money to buy trophies and as Doreen has already explained trophies were either returned in a poor state and could not be sent out as annual trophies or never returned in the 1st place!

On a positive note thanks to Fordingbridge for hosting this event for the region the track was spot on and the committee/members worked really hard to make us all welcome and couldnt apologise more for the problems with the lure, which were beyond anyones control.

Election Day

(Doreen has already posted the main racing. Thanks mate very long day leaving home at 7 am and getting in a 8.30 last night  )

Some fantastic racing with really close finishes (a couple of dead heats) gutted for Jayne and Dot with Lucky Darling finishing without a muzzle so had to be disqualified in his solo class so unable to compete in the Dog Final.

Big congratulations to Annie with Mateys Touch winning the dog class and going on to take supreme and Tony with Ones Dipano taking the bitch class and giving him a fantastic race to the finish. To Big Dave taking supreme scratch with Bigland Lad another great race. Michael with Vanilla Sky winning the veteran final after he had to withdraw Moccachino who pulled a nail.

A great day racing but very cold hope it warms up for the June/July opens (w00t)

Amanda you beat me to it, unless you are on a reg committee and understand that reg no longer if ever make any money but just survive and i would say thats getting even harder for reg up in the north and down south where they are not so well attended, in the east mids where we have well attended reg opens we make a few pounds each year for our reg, maybe if people took the time to attend reg meeting they would understand where the money goes

Thanx to fordingbridge and there workers for a great days racin, well done Dave on winning sup scratch see you all again at Thurrock  :luck:

As I said there no point putting opens on if there no trophys at all to give to people that winner supremes because all it going to do is show the bwra mid west up If there was a problem fund the trophy I'm sure somebody from the region would have put a trophy up again just opinion as member of bwra mid-west

Regions only ever make pennys rather than pounds,or in this case run at a loss.Maybe you could get some sponsership for trophies,or perhaps ask at opens you attend if they minded you holding an extra raffle to raise funds for trophies?I'm sure racers will be happy to buy an extra raffle ticket if they thought it would help a region

AFTER RECIEVING A LETTER TODAY FROM THE MID WEST CHAIRMAN REFFERING TO THE ABOVE STATEMENT I WISH TO CATAGORICALLY SAY THAT I DID NOT OR SUGGEST THAT ANY COMMITEE MEMBER WAS TAKING MONEY I APOLOGISE IF THE COMMITEE MEMBER HAS TAKEN A GENUINE QUESTION THE WRONG WAY AND I LOOK FORWARD TO DISCUSSING WITH THEM WHY A BWRA MID WEST TOP TEN OPEN CAN BE RUN AND WON WITH NO TROPHYS FOR THE SUPREME WINNERS YOURS IN SPORT LYNDON GILBERT
