For those lovely people who are travelling down to our week-end camping event this is the address and post code
FORDINGBRIDGE SPORTS GROUND

RINGWOOD ROAD

FORDINGBRIDGE

HANTS

SP6 1AN

If you have any problems getting this on your Sat Nav, please give Bert Madgwick a ring, he's the best one to tell you the directions. If you haven't been before you have to be wary of missing the turn off to get on to the field especially if you are towing a caravan. The field we are camping on is adjacent to the Sports club where our race track is.

There will be showers and toilets available from about 6.00am in the morning ( Bill has promised me he will go and unlock them ). The little village shopping area is just a 10min walk through the park and over the little bridge. They have a

Co-op, a One Stop, bank, bakers, gift shops, fish & chips, takeaways. Lovey pub just on the corner that do very tasty meals and the seating area overlooks the river. The river runs alongside the track where there are plenty of fish, the swans and ducks nest on the river, and the ducks can often been seen waddling along the edge of the river bank.

It really is an ideal setting. The club house bar will be open from the Friday evening, we will have a disco on the Saturday

evening, and on Sunday evening will will try to arrange a darts match or some other kind of entertainment.

Fordingbridge club members look forward to seeing many of our regular campers and hopefully some new campers who have never been to our great club before. I assure you , you will all be made to feel very welcome.

Kind regards

Doreen

Bump for address and post code for Sat Nav

Setting off about 2am Thursday morning to arrive around 7am

A bit of a wait to get on the field but I think overall better for the dogs to avoid travelling in the heat of the late morning. :D

Now if someone could direct me to the nicest Cafe in the area for a good breakfast it would be much appreciated ;)

Now you gone and said it Steve, i got drowned on the way to work this morning lol, Was raining so hard it nearly knocked me off my bike, as well as the fact i couldnt see out of my Glasses was a right trauma lol In all fairness though i think it will have done fordy the world of good!

Hi Elise

it will be good to see you. The weather is cooler today, I think they have forecast some rain for the weel-end.

We ran on the track on Wednesday evening and it was lovely. I have asked the groundsman not to cut the grass so it will have

a nice covering on it, and yes the watering of the track is all in hand by our great members.

I don't doubt there will still be someone who will find something wrong, but Fordingbridge members are doing their utmost

to make it a great week-end for all our visitors.

Very hot here today, we live about 50 miles away from Fordingbridge but I assume it is just as hot there.

Bill and I will be going down to the track on Wednesday to start the watering, then on Thursday all the committee should be there camping

so it will be given another good soaking all day, then the same again on Friday.

The river that runs along side the track might end up with a few swimmers, won't the Ducks and Swans be suprised.

If you have any problems please ring me on my land line 02392 486578. Then on Wednesday you can get me on my mobile number

07931 661 038 as I will be down at the track all day.

You can get on to the camping field after 12 noon on Thursday.

I'll keep you all posted regarding the weather.

regards

Doreen

Tryed to phone but no reply. We still going text me when you in and I'll phone you back. Does anyone know if there are any tree's where we can put the van and tents under. This sun is great for us but to much for the dogs. Was hoping to park in the shade if there is any.
