Just a few of us at the track today, it was bitterley cold but we were all wrapped up against the cold weather.
We are a great bunch and it was a great atmosphere.
After a few races and a couple of trials the men did a little bit of work on the track. Michael is the star of the
club when it comes to dealing with the track running surface. he brought along some bags of top soil and
some grass seed and the men set to work.
We all decided that this would be the last club meeting until after the New Year, so we can keep checking on the track
and do more work if neccessary ready for next year. We want the track to be in tip top condition especially
for our camping week-end in July. We have had a brilliant response to our camping booking, 27 caravans and
11 tents up to now. We have carefully measured the area that we are going to use and assessed how much space each
caravan will need within the safety aspect, so at the moment we think 30 caravans will be our limit.
Nearer to the date of our event I will need those people who have already booked with us to contact me to confirm that
they still want their space, in the event of not getting any confirmation we will offer the space to someone on the reserve
list. I will of course remind everyone on the list nearer to the time next year.
News letters will be sent out to the members who didn't come to the club today giving you an update on all
issues concerning the club. Pete Sullivan took some photographs today so hopefully he will post them later.
regards
Doreen
