Hi, as you may have read on other k9 threads we lost our bitch after she had given birth to 6 healthy puppies.

My post is a plea to anyone who knows of a very maternal bitch who has very recently lost a litter and may take these babies on as her own. or even a bitch who has a small litter, plenty of milk and who wouldnt mind taking on these little ones too.

many thanks for reading this and for any support you can offer.

just posted your plea on FLAPPERS DREAM greyhound site will let you know if any responce :luck:

I'm not very 'techie' but would it be worth putting something on Facebook? I've seen lots of pages on there asking for support for charitable causes, help in finding missing dogs etc and it does reach a fairly wide audience. Just a thought...

:luck: :luck: In finding a foster mum for these precious babies :luck: :luck:

i've updated my FB stuatus asking for help

Have you thought of contacting all the veterinary practices in your surrounding area, - they may have first hand knowledge of bitches with recent litters? You could also try and get your local radio station to put out a plea on your behalf. Your local newspaper may well also be prepared to run an article asking for help, though the other two options are more 'immediate'.

Sorry if you've already tried all the above. Good luck with the little ones. :luck: :luck: :luck:

I'll put it on my FB as well Sarah.....you never know.

I hope someone can help you out soon, your all doing

a great job, but a foster mum would really help .

its a shame your so far away .i could have tried to help ,the norfolk of mine is nursing just one pup

Your own Group Page..would be a good idea on Facebook...

with a picture of the pups and a plea for help... they are really easy to make. This way lots of people would see it.

I have someone on there who has lost a dog and has made a special page to help find him....Its called Find Missing Marley.

Just an idea Sarah.

Just a thought, but are there any rescue centres locally that may have a bitch that has recently had puppies?

I do hope you find a foster mum soon. :luck: :luck:

I have a nursing mum here. I am in Surrey.

My pups are currently being weaned so she has plenty of milk to spare.

How old are the puppies now?

Emma (Furry Friends Animal Rescue)

I have cross posted to GSD UK forum too, Sarah.

Emma - they were born on Sunday morning, so 4 days old now.

muffin is eating well and has got noodles as a back up lol but not sure ruby would take to new pups at this stage of weaning

Luckily, a foster mum has been found!!! :D

thanks so much for all our offers of help, whilst the lovely jinx doesnt have any milk she has taken to washing the pups etc brilliantly.

Thankyou to the Walshes for the loan of this fantastic little dog. Jinx and Lola knew each other well and often ran against each other. I'm sure Lola couldnt be more pleased that Jinx has taken on her babies.

The pups have always been big and strong thanks to their mum Lola having given them everything she had, including her life. What a girl, i am proud to have known her and to have had her in my life

I'm so pleased the foster Mum situation has been sorted. Those babies are destined for a good future! :luck:

So often in life we can't manage without the help of others. I think Lola's legacy for us is to give all we have and leave the rest in God's hands...

Much love Sarah
